The Principals and Staff of Health Promotion Affiliates:
Richard Rotondo is the Director of Health Promotion Affiliates. He was selected by H.Emerson Thomas, Jr., M.D. to be the Director of the Multiple Risk Factor Intervention Trial (MRFIT) for the Boston University site. Upon completion of the study in 1982 Richard Rotondo joined Health Promotion Affiliates and was program designer and manager for several large accounts. As the current director of HPA, Richard Rotondo has significantly increased the number of client companies served. Health Promotion Affiliates has become the recognized leader of Wellness services in Massachusetts.
Anne Calhoun has been the assistant director of Health Promotion Affiliates since 1998. She has a master’s degree in Health Promotion Wellness Management. For eight years Anne was the director of the staff and faculty health and fitness program at Harvard University. Anne is the primary trainer of HPA staff.
Michael Miller, M.D. is a physician at Medical Care Affiliates and the Medical Director for Health Promotion Affiliates. Dr. Miller provides physician orders and answers medical questions that come from customers and staff.
Because of the many and comprehensive services offered, Health Promotion Affiliates hires and trains staff from varied fields of expertise, including physicians, nurses, health educators, massage therapists, nutritionists, personal trainers, yoga and Tai Chi instructors, acupuncturists, Reiki masters, social workers, and other practitioners of Alternative Medicine.
Staff is selected based on their competencies, education, credentials and personality. Staff are thoroughly trained and reviewed, ensuring a high level of performance at the client worksite.

Directions to HPA: From Route 128 take exit 19B which puts you on Highland Ave. heading toward Needham. Go through the first traffic light and immediately look for Cross Street on your right. Turn right on Cross St. and turn left into the parking lot. At one end of the parking lot look for a white fence, two dumpsters, and a set of stairs. Go up 5 stairs and turn left. There is a small sign for Health Promotion Affiliates at the entrance of a large door that is kept open in pleasant weather.
