Flu Information
The seasonal flu vaccine always contains 3 different strains based on what the CDC expects will come to the United States in the fall and winter. This year the seasonal flu vaccine will include the H1N1 as one of the three strains. This means that you will only need one shot to protect you this year. However with the addition of the H1N1 it creates greater challenges for the vaccine manufacturers to complete the process and receive government approval before shipping. We have our shipment in August which will allow us to schedule flu clinics starting mid-September. To schedule a flu clinic with HPA please send in the Flu Request Form with three optional dates. Try to book the time of your clinic either in the morning or the afternoon unless. This allows us to use a nurse to do more than one clinic that day.
