Here are the flu-related documents (.pdf) you may wish to download (save to your machine) and/or print. Depending on your browser, follow these simple steps:

- The seasonal flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by the influenza virus. It can cause mild to severe illness and at times even death. 36,000 people a year die from the flu in the United States. More than 200,000 are hospitalized each year. The symptoms of the flu include: fever, headache, dry cough, fatigue, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle aches.
The flu spreads person to person through coughing, sneezing, or touching objects that have the flu virus. You may infect others before you feel any symptoms as well as when you are sick. The single best way to protect yourself and not infect others is a yearly flu shot. In addition to the flu shot it is important to practice good hygiene: wash your hands frequently, sneeze and cough into your arm not your hands,and stay home if you are sick.
